Chapora Village In Chhattisgarh Goes Into a Self Imposed Lockdown | COVID-19

 

Our Community Correspondent Rajesh Gupta reports about a village Chapora in Chhattisgarh's Raigad district which decided to impose a self-lockdown.

"There were a lot of COVID-19 cases from our neighbouring villages. A few deaths were also reported," said one of the villagers that Rajesh spoke to. Hence, to restrict the movement of people from within the village and those entering from outside, the panchayat decided to impose a 15-day lockdown.

General awareness about COVID-19 protocols like wearing masks, social distancing and using sanitisers was high among the villagers.
